    Sharp disputes over Russia’s natural gas supplies to Ukraine have nearly put in the shade yet another surprise this Eastern neighbor has presented for Ukraine: since February 2006 a decree of the RF Government has been effective on imposing for a period of five years antidumping duties on all types of Ukrainian–made pipes, with introduction of import quotas for large diameter ones being in the pipeline. What was the reason for introducing such protectionist sanction?
