RUSSIAN MINISTER WANTS TO UNITE POWERMEN AND MECHANICIANS

    Prospects have been outlined for further development of the nuclear power industry in Russia. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, with only 16–17 % currently attributable to the nuclear power industry in the entire power balance of Russia, by 2030 this share will have to be increased up to 25 %. This value will approximately correspond to the share this power industry sector currently has in some world countries, which intensively use nuclear power.
    Estimation offered by Sergey Kirienko, the effective RF Minister of Nuclear Power, shows that to reach the required level every year Russia will need to put into operation at least two fresh nuclear power generating units. According to...
