    Two decades ago Voest-Alpine in the USSR built the first western technology based mini-mill. That time the stakeholders of the project could not even imagine that the compact mill with the design capacity of 550 thousand tonnes a year had been destined to significantly extend its production capacities and rank among leaders in a number of prestigious sectors of the world market while acting as a pillar of the domestic economy of an entire nation.
