According to different estimations, the global market of power industry equipment is US$50 to 70bn. By 2025 it is expected to grow to US$100 to 120bn. But a threshold of penetration to this market is very high as the industry is high-tech and needs big investments in modernization of facilities and preparation of projects. Now over 80 % of global power equipment is made by less than ten big players engaged in intense research. Around 35 % of the market is accounted for by General Electric, about 20 % by Siemens and ABB, with somewhat lower shares by VA Tech, Mitsubishi Electric, BHEL, Power Machines and OMZ.
